A Halalbihalal to Remember: Park Hyatt Jakarta Welcomes Orphans With Warmth and Blessings

JAKARTA - In the spirit of Eid al-Fitr, Park Hyatt Jakarta in collaboration with MNC Peduli hosted a heartwarming halalbihalal gathering for dozens of orphans on Thursday evening. Held at The Residence, the hotel’s exclusive event space in Menteng, Central Jakarta, the event embodied joy, gratitude, and togetherness.

The post-Ramadan tradition of halalbihalal—a uniquely Indonesian celebration of reconciliation and kinship—was elevated with an elegant touch, featuring heartfelt interactions, special meals prepared by the hotel’s culinary team, and thoughtful gift packages for children from orphanages in Central Jakarta and Sentul, Bogor.

“We see this not just as a celebration, but as a commitment to sharing blessings with the community,” said Teuku Hafid, Head of CSR at MNC Group. “This is part of our ongoing effort to foster connection and compassion beyond the festive season.”

The smiles said it all. Haidar (10), one of the young guests, beamed with delight after enjoying a special meal.
“I’m so happy to eat delicious food and meet new friends. Thank you, MNC Peduli and Park Hyatt Jakarta. I hope I can come again next year,” he said.

Keysa, representing Aisyiyah Orphanage from Kemayoran, expressed similar gratitude.
“The event was so fun. We really appreciate being invited and hope to return next year,” she shared.

Christian Wurm, General Manager of Park Hyatt Jakarta, emphasized the deeper significance of the gathering.
“This is more than a ceremonial event. It’s about creating heartfelt moments and reinforcing the values of community and kindness,” he said.

The evening began with a Qur’anic recitation and live hadroh music, followed by dinner and gift-giving. The atmosphere throughout was filled with laughter, prayer, and a shared sense of peace.

Park Hyatt Jakarta and MNC Group hope that this halalbihalal will leave a lasting impression, one of warmth, generosity, and the spirit of Eid that transcends the day itself.
