MNC Peduli Supports the Indonesian Child Cancer Foundation in Distribution of Masks and Breaking the Fast with Children of Ca
Jakarta – Cancer fighters, especially children, are a vulnerable group who need extra attention and protection. One of the health protection standards for cancer fighters and their companions is to use masks as part of preventive measures in maintaining health.
In the holy month of Ramadan, MNC Peduli donated 20,000 masks with medical standards to be distributed to cancer fighters through the Indonesian Child Cancer Foundation to coincide with the "Bubar" event, namely breaking the fast with child patients who are undergoing treatment at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital.
The handover of 20,000 masks from MNC Peduli was handed over by Head of CSR MNC Group Tengku Havid to Chairwoman of the Indonesian Child Cancer Foundation Sallyana Sorongan at the Dharmais Hospital Auditorium, West Jakarta on Friday (22/3/2024).
Tengku Havid said that this mask donation was part of the MNC Peduli program "1 Million Masks for Cancer Fighters". "Currently, through the 1 Million Masks for Cancer Fighters program, we will distribute masks to various shelter homes or hospitals that treat cancer.
“We appreciate the Indonesian Children's Cancer Foundation which has been helping children fighting cancer. "Hopefully this assistance can support the activities of the Indonesian Children's Cancer Foundation and the Dharmais Cancer Hospital," said Havid.
While breaking the fast, the children were treated to various entertainment such as fairy tales and Ramadan songs sung by one of the cancer fighters, Melvina. Apart from that, a number of child patients also showed off their skills by performing pencak silat and poetry reading.
