Delivery of Kasgot Fertilizer for Agriculture at Kemah Beth Shalom Orphanage and Nursing Home

South Tangerang - To support creativity and fulfill daily needs, MNC Peduli provides cassava fertilizer resulting from bio-conversion of organic waste from the MNC Center office to the Kemah Beth Shalom Orphanage so that it can be used for farming activities.

It is also hoped that foster children will gain additional insight and experience so they can be independent in the future.

Fertilizer processed using the maggot black soldier fly method is a product resulting from the bio-conversion of food waste in the MNC Group office area in Kebon Sirih - Jakarta.

330kg of fertilizer was handed over by the MNC Peduli team to the Kemah Beth Shalom Orphanage on Wednesday (26/6/2024).

"We often fill our activities here by cultivating crops in the garden, with this fertilizer we hope the results will be optimal," said the resident of the orphanage, Andika (19).

Various types of plants color many of the plantation areas there, such as cassava, sweet potatoes, eggplant, chilies, and even grape varieties. Apart from plantations, there are also livestock and poultry. "We are grateful for the provision of this fertilizer," he said.

Beth Shalom Home is home to 22 elderly people and 25 children. They are taught how to garden and raise livestock. The provision of Kasgot fertilizer assistance from MNC Peduli is very meaningful because it can support the farming efforts of the orphanage residents.

"We are very grateful to MNC Peduli, of course this assistance is very useful for us because the proceeds from our farm are intended for the operation of the orphanage," said the administrator of the orphanage, Ayen Oei.

Head of CSR MNC Group Tengku Havid hopes that the assistance provided will be useful for children to learn and have additional experience in farming. "Cashgot fertilizer, which comes from the black soldier fly method, has a high protein content, so we hope it can be useful and accelerate the development of plant growth and be beneficial for this orphanage," he said.
