South Tangerang - Due to their shared concern in improving the quality of life of underprivileged families, MNC Peduli supports SOCIAL WEEK 2023/2024 in the Healthy Village program: "Hand in Hand with the Scavenger Village" on Saturday (8/6/2024).

In this program, a number of social actions in the form of free food and clothing bazaars as well as children's literacy activities in the form of gymnastics and education were presented to residents living in Pemulung Village, Pondok Aren, Bintaro.

MNC Peduli and SOCIAL WEEK 2023/2024 provided 200 basic food packages and 400 clothes suitable for use and provided education on good behavior in daily life to children in Pemulung Village, especially children aged 8 to 12 years. This is an effort to provide good understanding so that local children can have better character and behavior.

Not only that, this event also provides free eye health and blood sugar check facilities in collaboration with other parties.

Michelle Aubrey Evangeline as Chair of Social Week 2023/2024 said that SOCIAL WEEK 2023/2024 is one of the annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) under the Social and Environment Division of the Undergraduate Student Board at Prasetiya Mulya University and acts as a forum to support government programs in improving welfare society and help eradicate poverty, especially in the field of education.

"Through the entire series of programs, SOCIAL WEEK 2023/2024 hopes to provide assistance to those who need it, namely contributing to the educational aspect in the form of education, motivation and inspiration to those in need," said Michelle.

Furthermore, Michelle said that through "Hand in Hand with the Scavenger Village" it illustrates the spirit of collaboration and sense of unity of the participants with the aim of improving the quality of life of the community. "In this event, SOCIAL WEEK 2023/2024 together with MNC Peduli would like to emphasize that contributing to community development can be done in various aspects, such as education, health and basic needs. "It is hoped that this event can be a blessing to the surrounding community with a sustainable positive impact, as well as encouraging student activity and concern for current social conditions," he said.

Head of CSR MNC Group Tengku Havid expressed his appreciation to the organizers of SOCIAL WEEK 2023/2024. “We are happy to have the opportunity to be part of social activities that can benefit local residents. "In this event, we also support a free bazaar of suitable clothes for our brothers and sisters in need," said Tengku Havid.

Havid also said that the literacy activities carried out were also in line with the MNC Peduli program. "Through the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children program, one of our goals is to provide informal education that is useful in forming children's character as the future of the nation. "Therefore, today's literacy activities are very much in line with our program at MNC Peduli," he said.
