Helping the Post-Earthquake Education Sector, MNC Peduli Distributes Emergency Class Tent through the Regent of Cianjur

Cianjur – Two months after the earthquake that hit Cianjur Regency, it still has a big impact on the daily lives of residents. The damage not only affected residents' homes, but also a number of facilities, including educational facilities.

More than 500 educational facilities were damaged, so that the teaching and learning process for children was hampered. Even though it was stopped, of course children in Cianjur must immediately return to school to catch up on their learning.

Currently, schools have started to operate with emergency classroom tent facilities. However, due to the large number of schools being damaged, emergency classroom tents are still needed to cover the needs of students.

Seeing this need, MNC Peduli distributed community assistance in the form of emergency tent classes through the Cianjur district government which were handed over directly by MNC Peduli Chairman Syafril Nasution to Cianjur Regent H. Herman Suherman at the Cianjur Regent's Office on Friday (3/2/2023).

"Thank God. We would like to thank MNC Peduli for providing assistance from the start. Now we are providing assistance with 10 tent units," said the Regent of Cianjur after handing over the assistance at the Cianjur Regency Hall, Friday (3/2/2023).

The tents provided, said Herman Suherman, were very necessary for elementary school students whose buildings were damaged. Even now the building has been demolished. "So it is difficult for them to study comfortably, so with this tent, they can study without getting caught in the rain. And I am grateful because this tent is very necessary for elementary schools," said Herman Suherman.

His party will immediately summon the Head of the Cianjur Regency Education Service to coordinate and immediately install tents in a number of schools. "Thank God, this tent can be used for 50 people, and we will divide the time by hour so that all students can study comfortably," said the Regent of Cianjur.

Herman Suherman hopes that the people of Cianjur will recover soon, the economy will revive, and educational facilities and activities will return to normal. "Of course we are not alone. There is a lot of help from Cianjur to abroad. We are happy and thank MNC Peduli for providing assistance and appreciation to those of us who were affected by the earthquake," said Herman Suherman.
