Preventing Malnutrition, MNC Peduli together with Lotte Mart Indonesia Holds a Large Cook-Off of Healthy and Nutritious Food
Jakarta – Malnutrition in children is still a scourge for some Indonesian people, including residents of the capital Jakarta. Even though the stunting rate in the city of Jakarta is quite low, preventing malnutrition and stunting still needs to be done. This is because stunting can have an impact on the health and intelligence of the nation's next generation of children.
As support for preventing malnutrition among Indonesian children, MNC Peduli in collaboration with Lotte Mart Indonesia distributed funds to Lotte Mart's shopping friends by providing education on cooking healthy and nutritious food and additional nutritious food packages to participating residents of Kebon Sirih Village.
The implementation of this program is also supported by Kebon Sirih Village and Park Hyatt Jakarta. With the spirit of togetherness, Chefs from Park Hyatt Jakarta, assisted by Posyandu cadres RW 05, RW 07 & RW 09, Kebon Sirih Village, cooked 400 packages of healthy and nutritious food containing animal protein, vegetable protein and vegetables which are good for the growth of children and pregnant women.
Apart from that, the children who attended also received fairy tale entertainment which could be useful for increasing children's literacy.
