Prevent Exposure to Pollution, MNC Peduli, Skrineer and Oi BPW DKI Jakarta Distribute 1 Million Masks to Car Free Day Jakarta

Jakarta – So that residents can avoid exposure to the bad air quality that is hitting Jakarta, 1 million masks have been distributed by MNC Peduli, Skrineer, and Oi BPW DKI Jakarta.

For two weeks, masks were distributed to residents who were exercising and doing activities in the car free day area on Jalan Sudirman – Thamrin, Jakarta. This is to help reduce the negative impact of air pollution on public health, one of which is the case of ISPA.

Volunteers from MNC University were also involved who enthusiastically distributed it in the Jalan Sudirman area.

Roy Tanusudiro as CEO of Skrineer said that the distribution of masks has entered its second week. "Entering the second week, Skrineer and MNC Care are back at Car Free Day in Sudirman, today we are distributing around 500,000 masks," he explained.

Roy also said that this activity was part of the distribution of 2 million masks to protect the activities of Jakarta residents.

"Hopefully this mask will be useful when they carry out their daily activities in protecting their breathing and lungs," said Roy.

Masks were distributed at a number of points in the Jakarta Car Free Day area, namely Jalan Sudirman under the Casablanca flyover and the area around Gelora Bung Karno and Jalan Thamrin, namely around the HI Roundabout.

In line with Roy Tanusudiro, Yunus as the representative of Oi BPW DKI Jakarta is grateful to be able to help Jakarta residents, especially those who are active in the Car Free Day area.

"Thank God, Oi and MNC Peduli and Skrineer distributed 1 million masks. In the second week we distributed 500,000 masks. "Hopefully people who continue to carry out sports activities will stay healthy by using masks because there are bad air pollution incidents," he said.

Deputy Chirwoman of MNC Peduli Jessica Tanoesoedibjo said that her party was working with Skrineer to distribute 2 million masks in the Jakarta area.

"Now pollution is increasing and many people are experiencing respiratory tract infections, so we really need to share and socialize the need to wear masks and this is for all of our health," said Jessica.

Furthermore, Jessica hopes that using a mask can reduce respiratory infections.

"Because if you are exposed to pollution for a long period of time the impact on your health will also be quite long," she said.
