Encouraging Literacy, MNC Peduli Distributes Reading Books and Design Training to the Street Children Community

Bekasi – To encourage Indonesian children's interest in literacy, MNC Peduli through the #GenerasiCerdasAnak Bangsa program has helped more than 100 homes/reading parks in a number of regions in Indonesia through various activities.

This time, MNC Peduli distributed hundreds of reading books to the KDM Foundation, a foundation that was formed as a forum to help street and homeless children have a better future.

Children are also invited to listen to fairy tales and retell them and learn to recognize expressions.

Apart from that, MNC Peduli also provides design training to children assisted by the KDM Foundation which contains an understanding of job opportunities, soft skills and hard skills needed as designers as well as tips and tricks in making designs.

KDM Foundation Project Staff Syaiful Islam Ramadhan said the activity had a positive impact on the needs of teenagers. According to him, training can equip teenagers to enter the world of work.

“That's good, many of them don't do much graphic design. "With MNC Peduli providing this training, it will be very useful," said Syaiful at the location, Thursday (31/8/2023).

Syaiful explained that the KDM Foundation aims to enable marginalized children or teenagers to get their rights. Therefore, he hopes that collaboration with MNC Peduli will continue.

"We really hope that there will be new partners to provide training and increase proportional exposure for teenagers here," he said.
