Valentines Day, MNC Peduli x Regina Pacis School Jakarta Invites Students to Collect 1000 Books

Jakarta – On Valentine's Day, MNC Peduli and Regina Pacis School Jakarta invite Regina Pacis Jakarta students to share their love with the One Thousand Loves, One Thousand Books program. Through this program, students are invited to care for other children by donating books.

With this activity, it is hoped that it can raise students' awareness of other children who are less fortunate in getting access to literacy. Of course, this activity aims to increase the literacy of Indonesian children.

A total of 1000 books were collected by Regina Pacis School Jakarta and distributed through MNC Peduli on Tuesday (14/2/2022).

Head of CSR MNC Group said that MNC Peduli hopes that the values of caring for students need to continue to be built. "In accordance with our program, namely the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children, future children are not only academically smart but also have soft skills, one of which is understanding the values of social care," said Havid.

Tengku Havid also said that the mission of this activity was also to increase the literacy of Indonesian children, which is currently still low. "By providing interesting reading books, hopefully we can attract children's interest in reading," said Havid.

Chairman of the Regina Pacis School Foundation Jakarta Sr. Linda Mulyati FMM said that distributing the books was also part of training children to care. Moreover, providing useful things to those who need them.

"Regina Pacis School is encouraging students to take part in the 1000 loves 1000 books activity together with MNC Peduli to train children to care by sharing story books which will be useful for other children in need," said Linda at the location, Tuesday ( 2/14/2023).

Moreover, said Linda, behind the scribbles of a book there is a trace of knowledge and truth. So, this is part of the seed for honing students' love through caring. "There is truth in the story itself, and sharing it is a form of love. So that is a form of concern for our children with various books for those in need," he added.
