Lumajang – Nearly 2000 families who survived the eruption of Mount Semeru have settled in the permanent residential area (Huntap) in Sumbermujur Village, Candipuro, Lumajang Regency.

To support the activities and security of these permanent residences, MNC Peduli provided community assistance in the form of 20 solar powered PJUs and also assistance with security equipment through the Lumajang Regency provincial government.

Previously, at the emergency response stage, MNC Peduli had also distributed community assistance in the form of basic necessities, sanitation & hygiene needs. Apart from that, trauma healing and school supplies have also been distributed to children affected by the eruption.

For its concern for the communities affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru, the Lumajang Regency Government expressed its appreciation to MNC Peduli. This appreciation was handed over directly by the Deputy Regent of Lumajang, Mr. Indah Amperawati, to the Chair of MNC Peduli, Syafril Nasution, at the Lumajang Regent's Office on Thursday (8/5/2023).
