MNC Peduli and Miss Indonesia 2024 Celebrate National Children's Day at the Trotora Art Studio Reading Park
Jakarta – Children as the nation's next generation, have the right to a future in terms of survival, growth and development and good education. In big cities there are often abandoned children and street children who have difficulty getting adequate educational facilities.
The 2024 National Children's Day is an opportunity to increase public awareness and participation in fulfilling children's rights. The Smart Generation of the Nation's Children is one of the programs initiated by MNC Peduli to support good children's education and health in Indonesia.
MNC Peduli provided assistance to improve educational facilities to the Sidewalk Art Studio Reading Park in Tanah Merah Tugu Selatan, North Jakarta. This assistance is intended to provide informal access to education as well as space for social interaction and expressing cultural arts to the children of fishermen, scavengers and street performers who live around Taman Baca Sanggar Seni Sidewalk.
"I am grateful that our reading park, which was previously just ordinary, can be helped with infrastructure through the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children program, which is in line with our Love to Read program so that children can learn better," said the founder of the Reading Park, Asep Maulana.
Also on this occasion, Miss Indonesia 2024 gave a surprise by having the opportunity to participate in commemorating National Children's Day by taking part in activities with children of fishermen, scavengers and street singers. This activity is also a contribution from Miss Indonesia in carrying out social actions on National Children's Day.
Monica Kezia, Miss Indonesia 2024, felt happy to be able to support this activity, "I am very happy today to support MNC Peduli's activities to give surprises to the children here in the hope that the additional facilities provided will foster greater interest in literacy activities among children ".
This activity is in line with MNC Peduli's commitment to the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children program, which to date has paid a lot of attention to and provided assistance to educational facilities in Indonesia.
Head of CSR MNC Group Tengku Havid said that "MNC Peduli continues to be committed to contributing to improving better facilities for the world of education. Assistance is provided by revitalizing libraries, reading houses and supporting children's needs to improve the literacy of Indonesian children."
