MNC Peduli Builds Two Reading Houses in Cianjur
Literacy is not only skills in writing and reading, but also being able to understand, analyze and interpret them. Today's literacy must also be able to hone a person's creativity and socialization.
The presence of a reading house is an effort to increase literacy by encouraging children to love reading. It is hoped that the complete and comfortable reading house facilities will be able to attract children to come to the reading house.
Through the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children program, MNC Peduli builds two reading houses in Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency. The location of the reading house founded by MNC Peduli is a location affected by the earthquake disaster in Cianjur in early 2022.
The two reading houses are Pojok Baca Binar which is located in the Cugenang District Office area and Saung Baca Kirana in the Sawala Tani Tourism Area, Sukamanah Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency.
MNC Peduli also provides home reading equipment such as Indonesian and bilingual reading books, folding tables, bookcases, carpets, educational toys, projector screens, coloring tools and others.
"We are grateful to be able to help establish two reading houses at once in Cianjur. "Through the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children program, we hope that children will be enthusiastic and increase their motivation in reading and become more skilled and creative in their work," said Head of CSR Tengku Havid.
