MNC Peduli Supports Children's Food Intake and Independence in North Petojo
Posyandu as a public health service is very necessary to monitor and maintain the health of mothers and children with various activities, namely weighing toddlers, examining pregnant women and immunizations which are carried out once a month.
Providing additional food intake is part of the posyandu program as a form of support for providing healthy and nutritious food intake. One of the nutritious food intakes that is really needed for the growth and development of children and pregnant women is animal protein, including catfish which is known to be high in protein.
In realizing Golden Indonesia 2024, MNC Peduli continues to intensify the Smart Generation of the Nation's Children program through several stunting prevention activities, one of which is providing materials to increase additional intake of nutritious food.
On this occasion, MNC Peduli distributed hundreds of catfish through Flamboyan Posyandu, North Petojo, Central Jakarta which were processed into food that children liked to fulfill their nutrition and given to posyandu participants who came to monitor their children's growth and development.
By consistently meeting the good nutritional needs of children and pregnant women, it is hoped that a stunting-free generation by 2045 can be achieved, and encouraged to do so even faster. "MNC Peduli will continue to be consistent in supporting the achievement of reducing the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia, hopefully the smart generation of our nation's children can compete in this globalized world," said Head of CSR MNC Group Tengku Havid.
Apart from providing catfish, MNC Peduli also provided hundreds of perlak to posyandu participants which could be used by children under five for toilet training. Toilet training is expected to foster independence, self-confidence, clean and orderly behavior habits. "Today, we also provide activities to support toilet training for children so that they can be independent and regular in urinating and defecating," added Tengku Havid.
