Bekasi – The group supported by MNC Peduli, namely Women Headed of Families (Pekka) Binangkit, continues to be active in producing crafts to increase family income to meet daily needs.

Supporting the target group, MNC Peduli provided support in the form of batik cloth as a basic material to be used as a product with selling value on Friday (30/8/2023).

"Today there is a practice activity for processing quilts. Today we are making hair tie headbands and tissue holders from cloth that is no longer used but we can use it to make it more useful," said Erida Wahyuningsih as Pekka cadre at the location, Wednesday (30/8 /2023).

Erida said that batik cloth is the basic material, then it will be processed into home decor items, made from patchwork, such as coasters, coin purses, tablecloths, sofa cushion covers, tissue holders, even tote bags and backpacks and others.

"Later in the future, in October we will release the cloth that was donated, which will become other contemporary clothing that follows current trends," said Erida.

Head of CSR MNC Group Tengku Havid hopes that the assistance will be useful for the Pekka Binangkit group.

"Of course we hope that the assistance and activities carried out today can be useful for the women from Pekka Binangkit and can produce products with selling value," explained Tengku Havid.

Furthermore, Tengku Havid also said that this activity was part of MNC Peduli's women's empowerment program.

"Through the #PerempuanBerkarya program, namely a women's empowerment program, MNC Peduli hopes to encourage women in Indonesia to be able to work and be empowered not only for their families but also for the wider community," he explained.
