Jakarta – Air pollution in Jakarta is currently still not improving. Even with the current pollution, people are advised to use masks when doing outdoor activities.

This is to prevent negative impacts on health, for example ISPA, the cases of which have been increasing recently.

To help the people of Jakarta prevent ISPA disease, MNC Peduli collaborates with Skrineer and the Oi BPW DKI Jakarta mass organization to distribute masks to the public directly in the Jakarta Car Free Day area on Sunday (17/9/2023).

Also involved were volunteers from MNC University who distributed masks to residents passing by.

This activity is a series of giving 2 million masks to people who are active in Jakarta which is being hit by the threat of pollution.

CEO of PT. Multiutama Disposindo Jaya (PT. MDJ), the Skrineer mask brand company, Roy Tanusudiro said this activity was a reminder of the dangers of air pollution to public health. In this way, the party hopes that the masks can be useful for daily activities.

"We here as Skrineer mask producers remember that the situation in Jakarta is not good, so we are participating for the citizens of Jakarta by distributing 2 million masks to the citizens of Jakarta together with MNC Peduli," he said.

"Currently, many residents of Jakarta and surrounding areas are affected by pollution, one of whom is experiencing ISPA, we hope that this mask can prevent people from being exposed to pollution," said Jessica Tanoesoedibjo as Chair of MNC Peduli.

Apart from that, Jessica also expressed her hope that Jakarta's pollution will soon improve.

"Of course, we also hope that this pollution problem will soon improve and that Jakarta residents can also maintain their health by minimizing pollution by using masks when outdoors," added Jessica.
