Commemorating National Book Day, MNC Peduli Distributes Books at Coastal Children's Park
Jakarta - MNC Peduli distributed books to the Coastal Children's Park, Jalan Manunggal 7, RT 06/04, Cilincing, North Jakarta. This distribution is in commemoration of National Book Day which falls on April 23.
This MNC Peduli activity began with reading fairy tales to the children. The fairy tales read this time raised the theme of garbage and marine affairs. The majority of children who are still in elementary school enthusiastically took part.
The rendition of this fairy tale is intended to increase children's interest in literacy as well as increase interest in protecting the sea. It is hoped that children can use reading books of various types for their daily activities.
"MNC Peduli gave 100 books to our reading house. In fact, our books were starting to decrease because at that time they were hit by storms, wind, rain and there were no lids, so a lot of them were lost too," said the Founder of Pesisir Children's Park. , Aceng Gimbal when met, Thursday (16/5/2024).
Aceng hopes that the MNC Peduli movement which is sensitive to children's literacy and interest in reading will become more widespread. So, he said, this also increases interest in reading in Indonesia. "The point is, I am really happy with the presence of MNC Peduli. Hopefully this will spread and do good to everyone so that the benefits will be felt throughout Indonesia," he said.
