Jakarta – The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Central Jakarta, in collaboration with MNC Peduli and other partners, held a community service event on Friday (March 21, 2025). The initiative included the distribution of food aid and financial assistance for orphans and underprivileged families, as well as a blood donation drive to meet increased demand during Ramadan.
The event was warmly received by the community, with many beneficiaries expressing their gratitude. Herwanto, one of the recipients, highlighted the significance of such initiatives.
"This is truly beneficial for the community. I know PMI as a humanitarian organization, and I believe initiatives like this make a real difference," he said at the PMI Central Jakarta office.
Asep Djuanda, Chairman of PMI Central Jakarta, emphasized that the initiative was not only about distributing aid but also about strengthening community support.
"Alhamdulillah, today we are able to carry out the Bakti PMI initiative, providing food packages and financial aid. Beyond that, we are also hosting a blood donation drive, with a target of collecting 2,000 blood bags to ensure sufficient supply throughout Ramadan," Asep said.
Asep also acknowledged MNC Peduli’s ongoing support, emphasizing its role in numerous humanitarian programs.
"MNC Peduli has always been a strong partner in our efforts. They have actively contributed to several of our initiatives, and we deeply appreciate their commitment," he added.
With the success of this event, PMI Central Jakarta and MNC Peduli hope to continue supporting those in need while encouraging more people to take part in humanitarian efforts, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
