Cianjur – Restoring the psychosocial condition of children after the earthquake is one of the things that must be considered. Children need assistance and support so they can carry out and restore their lives to normal from all the stress and trauma they face due to the disaster that occurred.

As a form of support, MNC Peduli, Les' Copaque Production and Muslim Care Malaysia are presenting Upin & Ipin on a post-earthquake mission to Cianjur to a number of locations on 4 & 5 February 2023.

In this mission, Upin & Ipin entertained hundreds of children at the Cariu Field Command Post, Cibulakan Field and the refugee post in Cipaku.

Head of the Les' Copaque Production Post-Earthquake Mission, Mohd Zarin Bin Abdul Karim, said that this activity was carried out to provide trauma healing to children by presenting Upin & Ipin to entertain them.

"Upin & Ipin is close to the community, especially children, so we deliberately came here to entertain and encourage the affected children," said the Head of Post-Earthquake Mission, Les' Copaque Production.

Exco Muslim Care Malaysia (MCM) Mahfuzah Suparman said, the warm welcome and cheerful faces of children including adults when enjoying the show, showed that they were very happy, and could temporarily forget the sadness they were experiencing.

"Alhamdulillah, that's our goal, to make them happy and entertained."

MCM is very happy if the objectives of this mission are achieved and will continue to collaborate with Les Copaque and all NGOs involved for future missions.

Chairwoman of MNC Peduli Jessica Tanoesoedibjo hopes that the presence of Upin & Ipin can bring happiness to children. "Our hope is that the children will be entertained and at least can gradually forget the tragedy that befell them last November," said Jessica.

Jessica also hopes that other parties will continue to provide support to the residents of Cianjur during this recovery period
